A garden for dreaming

Transformation of a featureless garden into a space full of interest and inspiration

This large garden near Bristol was predominantly turf in poor condition with an uneven surface. We were asked to create a new, stunning destination at the far end of the garden and create planting areas for interest and inspiration.

Balau hardwood decking was installed and also used for stepping stones at ground level. A stunning porcelain mosaic patio was created within the large deck, which was surrounded by posts supporting festoon lighting.

The planting was designed to mature into a lush, flowing display with combinations of Artemisia, Salvia ‘Caradonna’ and Perovskia, supported with Tulips, Alliums and a number of grasses which sway gently in the breeze. Two beautiful multi-stem Amelanchier trees provide a centre point, with a new copse of Silver Birch forming a focal point at the rear.
